Participants
will be able to understand the benefits/risks of medical marijuana, define both
healing and numbing factors in the use of medical marijuana, describe the
ethical role of Social Workers and other professionals in addressing issues
related to Medical Marijuana, demonstrate understanding of the ethics of
Medical Marijuana in Substance Use Disorders Treatment, and increase their
awareness of Medical Marijuana use in Pain Management versus alternative
treatments. This course is for all
levels of those interested in enhancing their abilities in setting and
maintaining boundaries and decision-making skills when addressing the ethical
issues related to Medical Marijuana; Pain Management; and increasing their
awareness and understanding of potential positive aspects of Medical Marijuana,
as well as the potential dangers.
