Body centered therapies, such as Yoga, have gained momentum in the therapeutic community. Yoga is widely used in eating disorders and co-occurring disorders treatment, including substance use, in a variety of settings. Integrated treatment of eating disorders and substance use can be highly effective, using Yoga as an adjunct with traditional treatment modalities. Summary of eating disorders and their occurring disorders will be presented along with a comprehensive presentation of evidence-based Yoga therapy. Participants should bring a mat or a towel, and dress comfortably to experience yoga. Beverly Price, the speaker, will be facilitating a few break out light yoga experientials. Some may include physical movement/techniques/positions or sitting and breathing. Of course, experientials are optional.
