The treatment
of perfection has been historically difficult for both clinician and client
alike. Fortunately, newer clinical approaches are contributing to more
promising experiences and outcomes. This training will start with an overview
of perfection and its long term effects on human behavior. It will also include
the more recent multidimensional perspective of perfection. Participants will
learn the role of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in promoting behavioral
enhancement in the face of perfection, as well as tools involved in this
process. These tools increasing demonstrate the ability to influence the
transformation from torturous struggle and inaction to improved performance and
life engagement.
