Mindfulness-based treatment strategies have
been growing exponentially in influence and impact over the field of cognitive
behavior treatment in the last 30 years.
Exciting, creative and empirically driven approaches, such as ACT,
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, have been developed and are demonstrating
promising results in the treatment of a wide variety of clinical disorders,
including depression/anxiety, PTSD, OCD, addictions, eating disorders, and
personality disorders. Clinicians and
clients alike are learning how mindfulness enhances their efforts to create and
maintain change even in the face of years of suffering. Learn how this ancient practice is utilized
from an ACT philosophy in dealing with modern day struggles and is
revolutionizing the fields of mental health, substance abuse treatment, and
numerous other contexts. Participants will have the opportunity to practice a
range of mindfulness interventions.
