This training
will present some of the more recent research as to the prevalence of substance
use within the LGBTQ+ communities, the possible factors that contribute to
disordered substance use and the treatment implications. Some familiarity with addictions will be
helpful, but not essential. This course
will address and meet the Implicit Bias requirement for Social Work continuing
education.
