The Center for Relationship and Sexual Health (CRSH) is pleased to offer this updated training, first developed in 2001. This newly expanded, full-day workshop builds from the original core topics of inclusive terminology, cultural considerations, and specific treatment considerations for the LGBT client and includes topics on gender identity, homophobia & transphobia based in a heteronormative perspective, and the difference in treatment for chemical and behavioral addiction. The workshop also includes a section on dual-relationships in the LGBTQ+ recovery community as well as time for case studies. This comprehensive, up-dated training offers the most current material on treating LGBTQ+ individuals struggling with alcohol, chemical, and behavioral addiction issues.
