In today’s
society, most behavioral health organizations have experienced an influx of
both staff and client diversity. To provide optimal care to our clients and to promote
wellness among our staffs, we must begin the process of examining and improving
our cultural competency. This presentation will serve as a catalyst for this
process. Participants will gain insight
into cultural competency, examine some of the barriers to cultural competency
and be able to apply cultural competency to stakeholders.
