Traumatic stress and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are in the forefront of research today as awareness grows of the many forms of trauma and its lifelong effects.  Childhood abuse, childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, combat, domestic violence can all create lasting worldviews for people that dramatically affect the way they see the world, and relate to other people.  This workshop will focus on a multi-pronged approach to helping people heal from their trauma and enhance their relationships.

This clinical series is designed to deepen participants’ insight into segments of the clinical process that will open attendees to varied interventional and relational possibilities with their clients. Each workshop will focus on a different clinical topic and present a paradigm for conceptualization, intervention, and evaluation of efficacy. Each workshop will encourage the utilization of real client examples from the participants.  Participants will learn research based knowledge about specific clinical topics to raise awareness and deepen clinical insight, specific intervention strategies for each clinical topic, based on increased knowledge and awareness, and evaluation skills for client growth and progression in therapy.  Revisioning Trauma: Friday, June 2, 2017; The Family Car: Friday, July 14, 2017; The Brain and Body in IP: Friday, August 25, 2017; The Real Relationship: Sunday, September 10, 2017; Shame and the Core Hurts: Sunday, October 15, 2017; PTSD and Relationships: Sunday, November 12, 2017; Fear and the Human Process: Sunday, December 17, 2017
